About Mel

I graduated with my counseling degree in 2011. While in grad school, I took a course on Human Sexuality. It was there that I first heard sex discussed in an open and positive way.  I became aware of how damaging sexual shame has been for individuals and relationships. I pursued training in sex therapy and completed my supervision in 2015. Now, I love working with clients to help them experience freedom from sexual shame, trauma, and other sexual dysfunction. My practice is open and affirming - wherever you are in your journey, you are warmly welcomed in my office.

Outside of my office work, I love spending time with my blended family of six kids (3 bio, 3 bonus), husband, & two dogs (it’s a busy house!). I love reading mystery novels, making ceramics, and supporting the arts (we’re a theatre family!).
